Stardancer - and according to the NASA space calendar, tonight's full moon is the closest to the earth for 1997

Stardancer - Altar devotion: Since we are online my altar consists of a round candle lit by the computer and my bowl of salt water. "Bless this altar and those present".

Stardancer - Casting the circle: (Imagine a white soothing mist surrounding you where you sit, circling as we speak these words:) "We conjure the magick circle, safe within the Goddess' womb. A sacred place, a world apart, where enchantment births and magick starts. With Air and Fire, Water and Earth circle 'round the Mother's girth. This circle is sealed."

Stardancer - Calling of the quarters: "Guardians of the Eastern Watchtower-Spirits of Air-creatures of thought and communication. We call upon the forces of Air to blow out the old and bring in the new on your winds of change."

Stardancer - "Guardians of the Southern Watchtower-Spirits of Fire-creatures of faith and will. We call upon the forces of Fire to burn away regrets and shine your gentle rays upon us for growth."

Stardancer - "Guardians of the Western Watchtower-Spirits of Water-creatures of dreams and emotion. We call upon the forces of Water to cleanse us of negativity and cleanse our thoughts."

Stardancer - "Guardians of the Northern Watchtower-Spirits of Earth-creatures of strength and endurance. We call upon the forces of Earth to let your renewing strength bury all ills and open new paths for us."

Stardancer - "Guardians of the Central Watchtower-Spirits above and below-creatures of guidance and hope. We call upon the forces of Spirit to guide us safely along our path."

Stardancer - Invocation of the Goddess: "Wondrous Lady, mistress of magick, once again it is time as the gracious Mother has directed to draw down the moon. We call upon your shining light and greet you at the waxing of the moon to join us in this full moon rite. We pray by the moon."

Stardancer - Invocation of the God: "Mighty Horned One, Master of beasts wild and free, we greet you at the waxing of the moons power. Come forth honored one and join us in this full moon rite. We pray by the moon."

Stardancer - Meditation: This will be an earth meditation...visualize the Earth as a bluish-white sphere of energy; the Earth is our home, from her surface we pull food and healing plants, animals graze upon her meadows.

Stardancer - Feel her strength beneath you, become part of her. Ground deep into the Earth, lend her your energy as you draw strength from her.

Stardancer - Root yourself deep, deep, deep past layers of soil down into the heat and warmth of the inner Earth. Drink in the comfort of her, be at peace.

Stardancer - Now, as you leave all worries and troubles behind to be reborn into positive energy, draw your roots back from the inner Earth, up to the surface once more. Stretch your hand to the sky and say "Thank you Mother for so graciously providing that which sustains us."

Stardancer - Works of magick: (This will actually be a cleansing rite, get your salt water ready if you want to participate.)

Stardancer - Dip your finger into the water, anoint your forehead:

Stardancer - "I cleanse my thoughts that they might be pure and honest-grant that they always be pleasing to the God/dess."

Stardancer - Dip your finger into the water, anoint your throat:

Stardancer - "I cleanse my voice that all that I say might be for good and naught for ill or harm."

Stardancer - Dip your finger into the water, anoint your heart/chest:

Stardancer - "I cleanse my heart that it might be open, giving and full of light. Grant that I might give freely of my love and care to others."

Stardancer - Dip your finger into the water, anoint your hands:

Stardancer - "I cleanse my hands that I might use them for workings of good, to help and never to harm."

Stardancer - Dip your finger into the water, anoint your feet:

Stardancer - "I cleanse my feet that they might take me far in life, that my journeys may be filled with love, light, peace and the joy of the Goddess and God."

Stardancer - (Now doesn't that feel great!?)

Stardancer - Cakes and ale: This is actually a time of earthing yourself, returning to awareness, a ritual ingestion of food and drink to bring us back to the here and now. This snack could consist of bread and wine, milk and cookies, water and cheese; whatever you choose. In a group, it may also be a time of sharing and planning for future rituals. If you have brought something to snack on, please feel free to have it now and remember to return any leftovers back to the earth.
